Dear Giuliana…

Tomoko Sasaki

I’m Tomoko Sasaki who attended your class last Tuesday.
I’m back to Japan this morning. I wish I could have stayed longer…..
I just wanted to say thank you for such a lovely seminar and lovely food, and tea of course! I was really glad that I could join it.

I’ll remember what you said like “Have it the way you enjoy it” and “You are the best judge.” This is what I’ve believed. And I am glad to hear that from you.
Again, thank you very much and I would like to come back to London, hopefully, sometime soon.
Thanks & Best regards,

Tomoko Sasaki

Shubert Valeria

I am writing to you to thank you for that absolutely charming and delicious visit you had given me yesterday, on the 7th of July.
All the information was very useful and interesting and I really liked your house, which seemed to have come from my dream,so cosy and sweet it is!
Thank you again for your warm welcome and kind advice, I appreciated it so much.
Your faithfully,
Shubert Valeria

My wife and I fully appreciate you for your hospitality at the afternoon tea lesson last week.
I read your book especially chapters about history of tea and afternoon tea in England. That was very interesting partly because the Victorian era is overlapped with the Meiji era in Japanese history when Japan dramatically changed from the old system to modern and civilized society. In that period, England and Japan had a tight connection, and that might be a source that we Japanese love English culture including afternoon tea.
Another interesting thing for me is, shared communality between English afternoon tea and Japanese tea. Japanese tea seems more formal and restricted by rules at a glance, however, the spirituality of hospitality is very similar with English afternoon tea. As I love Japanese tea, I was very glad that you have interest to it which appeared in your book.
As I said, I came to London and will stay by the next year. This is my sabbatical leave. The reason why I came here is just I love England. I am fully enjoying my stay, and your lesson is an important part of that.
I hope that many Japanese people will attend your lesson and experience one of beautiful pearls of English culture.
Again thank you so much.

Best regards,

Hideki

Justine

Just wanted to say, thanks again for this morning’s lovely baking lesson. We had a lovely group and I can genuinely say those were the best scones I have ever eaten in my life! My dad has a huge soft spot for scones and clotted cream so I shall be making them again for him.
Great also to have the some afternoon tea treats to keep me going (and baby!) at work today.
Thanks again,
Justine

Shiho

Hello, Giuliana

Thanks for your lesson!

Today’s lesson is my great memory for London trip. I really appropriate your kindness and support.

I don’t know afternoon tea has so long history and importance for women. But owning to your lesson, I learned it and understanded british culture. I’ll tell my mom how to make scone, shortbread and also sandwiches, when I come back to Japan.

I can’t buy other scone, because your is best!!

Thanks a lot.

See you again☆

Shiho

Thank you so much for the lesson on the 19th. I really enjoyed baking and interested hearing about the history of afternoon tea.

Evening we baked at the lesson were brilliant!

I will try to bake it when I get back to Japan with your recipes.
I will let you know how it goes????
