Welcome to Afternoon Tea Lessons

The tradition of Afternoon Tea is a very special part of English culture that dates back to the reign of Queen Victoria.

My aim is to keep the lovely tradition of Afternoon Tea alive in the home – and not just in hotels and tea rooms.

In my Tuesday class you’ll learn everything you need to know (and more!) to make a real, traditional Afternoon Tea party. This includes experience in making speciality sandwiches and Rich Devonshire Scones in a country style kitchen. An explanation and history of Afternoon Tea, tea making and pouring, presentation and etiquette. A full Afternoon Tea, served in the sitting/drawing room which includes three varieties of sandwiches, Victoria Sandwich Cake, shortbread, Florentine biscuits and banana bread.
